CWY型船用柴油機應急消防泵，是根據中國船級社《鋼質海船入級規范-2006》以及《國際海上人命安全條約》等有關條文的規定研制的。主要用于船舶應急消防，同時也適用于工礦企業、港口碼頭、倉庫貨場等場所。
 
該泵組具有重量輕、體積小、移動靈活、起動迅速、出水時間快、燃油箱容量大、耐腐蝕、使用可靠、維護方便等優點。本泵有手動和電起動兩種形式，用戶在訂貨時說明。
